Let M- Mathematics and B – Biology be the events.

P(M) = \(\frac{40}{100}\) = \(\frac{2}{5}\); P(B) = \(\frac{3}{10}\);

P(M ∩ B) = \(\frac{1}{10}\)

P(M ∪ B) = P(M) + P(B) – P(M ∩ B)
