The radius and height of the cylinder are in the ratio 5 : 7 and its volume is 550 cm3. Find its radius and height.

Given that,

\(\frac{Radius}{Height}=\frac{r}{h}=\frac{5}{7}\)

We know that,

Volume of cylinder \(=\pi r^2h\)

\(\frac{22}{7}\times\frac{5}{7}h\times\frac{5}{7}h\times h\)

= 550 cm3

Therefore,

= 7 cm 

Therefore,

r = \(\frac{5}{7}h\)

\(\frac{5}{7}\times7\)

= 5 cm
