Best answer

It is given that k, (2k - 1) and (2k + 1) are the three successive terms of an AP.

∴ (2k - 1) - k = (2k + 1) - (2k - 1)

\(\Rightarrow\) k - 1 = 2

\(\Rightarrow\) k = 3

Hence, the value of k is 3.
