(a) Difference between Meristematic and Permanent tissue . See table 3.2.
(b) The process of loss of ability to divide and taking up a permanent shape, size, structure and function by newly formed cells is called differentiation.
(c) (i) Simple permanent tissue. Parenchyma , collenchyma , sclerenchyma
(ii) Complex permanent tissue. Xylem , phloem.
