Best answer
(a) The smallest detail capable of being detected is of the order of one wavelength of ultrasound which in this case is equal to `(1500 m//s)/(20m xx 10^6 Hz) = 7.5 xx 10^-5 m`.
(b) Depth to which the instrument can penetrate `= 200 lamda = 200(7.5 xx 10^-5 m) = 1.5 xx 10^-2 m`.
