An electron moves from a point A to a point B in an electric field and gains kinetic energy. Which of A and B is at a higher potential ? Explain.
If the potential difference between A and B is 1 volt, find the gain in kinetic energy of the electrons.

(i) What is the direction of the flow of electron through a wire of the two ends if the wire is con-nected to a cell.
The positive terminal of a cell can be considered as higher potential and the negative terminal can be considered as lower potential.
Electric potential `V = w/q`.
q is the charge on the electron.
