Best answer

(i) R = {(1, 2), (1, 3), (2, 3), (3, 2), (4, 5)}

R–1 = {(2, 1), (3, 1), (3, 2), (2, 3), (5, 4)}

(ii) R = {(x, y) : x, y ϵ N, x + 2y = 8}.

y = \(\frac{8-x}{2}\)

Put x = 2, y = 3

Put x = 4, y = 2

Put x = 6, y = 1

R = {(2, 3), (4, 2), (6, 1)}

R–1 = {(3, 2), (2, 4), (1, 6)}
