Given the limit

\(\Rightarrow\lim\limits_{\text x \to -1}\cfrac{\text x^3+3\text x+1}{\text x-1} \)

Putting the value of limits directly, i.e. x = -1, we have

Hence the value of the given limit is \(\Rightarrow\cfrac{-3}2\)
