lim(x→-5)(2x2 + 9x - 5)/(x + 5)

Since the form is indeterminant

\(=\cfrac00\)

Method 1: factorization

= 2(-5)-1

= -11

Method 2: By L hospital rule:

Differentiating numerator and denominator separately :

= 4(-5) + 9

= -11
