Best answer

\( \begin{pmatrix} x & y \\ 3y & x \\ \end{pmatrix} \)\( \begin{pmatrix} 1 \\ 2 \\ \end{pmatrix} \)

Comparing with R.H.S

x + 2y = 3 ------- (i)

2x + 3y = 5 -------- (ii)

(i) x 2 – (ii)

2x + 4y – 2x + 3y = 6 - 5

y = 1

Putting y in (i)

x + 2(1) = 3

x = 1
