If AD=3AB means D is a point lying outside AB.

AD = 3AB

AB+BD = 3AB

BD = 2AB

AB/BD=1/2

USING SECTION FORMULA

2 = (X+2)/3 ; -3=(Y+2)/3

X=4 Y = -11

D(4,-11)
