In Fig 6.13, OB is the perpendicular bisector of the line segment DE, FA  OB and F E intersects OB at the point C. Prove that

1/OA+1/OB = 2/OC.

SolutionΔ AOF and ΔBOD.

O = O (Same angle) and A = B (each 90°)

Therefore, ΔAOF ~ ΔBOD (AA similarity)

So, OA/OB = FA/DB      (1)
