For the heterogenous reaction, A(s) + 2B(g)  ⇋ 3D(s) + 2Y(g), the relationship between equilibrium constants, Kp and Kc is

(a) Kp = Kc[RT]2

(b) Kp = Kc[RT]0

Best answer

Answer is (b) Kp = Kc[RT]0

Kp = Kc(RT)△n where, △n = [number of gaseous products - number of gaseous reactants].

Here, △n = zero.

Hence, Kp = Kc(RT)0.
