The nuclear radius is given by R = rA1/3, where r0 is constant and A is the atomic mass number. Then, the nuclear mass density of U238 is

(a) twice that of Sn119

Answer is : (c) same as that of Sn119

Given, nuclear radius is

 R = r0A1/3

Here, atomic mass number of nucleus = A

∴ Nuclear density d is given by

d = Mass number/Volume

As r0 = a constant, so nuclear density is a constant quantity.

∴ Nuclear mass density of U238 is same as that of Sn119.
