Bhimrao Ambedkar was born in a dalit family in 1891. He was a scholar and intellectual and founder of ‘Independent Party’. Later, he founded Schedule Caste Federation. He planned the formation of Republic Party of India. He was also the member of ViceroyCouncil during the Second World War. He was the chairman of Drafting Committee of Constituent Assembly and became Law minister in the first cabinet. While lodging his disagreement on the Hindu Code Bill, he resigned from his post in 1951. In 1956, he adopted Buddhism along with thousands of his followers.
