The flower of brinjal is referred to as chasmogamous while that of beans is cleistogamous. How are they different from each other?

Brinjal has chasmogamous flowers, as they are open with exposed stamen and stigma. Such flowers show cross-pollination as well as self-pollination. On the other hand, beans has cleistogamous flowers, as they never open at all, even at maturity, they also show self- pollination.
