Mercury is often used in clinical thermometers. Which one of the following properties of mercury is not a reason for this?

Answer is : (d) It has high density

Fluid used in a thermometer must be easily visible, expands uniformly and significantly and it must be a liquid at room temperature.

So, density of mercury is not a feature for selecting mercury in clinical thermometers.
