Innate immunity is the non-specific immunity which is present from birth and is inherited from parents. Cellular barrier/phagocytosis involve macrophages. The macrophages form an important component of this type of immunity. At the site of infection, the blood flow increases and so does the cellular components. Macrophages and neutrophils engulf the microbes and cellular debris whenever they happen to enter the body.
