The taxi fares are in A.P. with the first term 14 and common difference 2.

\(\therefore\) a = 14, d = 2, n = 10

Now, t_n = a + (n – 1) d

\(\therefore\) t₁₀ = 14 + (10 – 1) x 2

= 14 + 9 x 2

= 32

\(\therefore\) The taxi fare for 10 kilometres will be Rs.32.
