Best answer
Let B had invested the excess money after `x` months
The profit of `A=Rs. 627`
For capital Rs. 1 the profit `=Rs. 627/1100`
For capital Rs. 1700 the profit `=Rs. (627xx1700)/1100=Rs. 969`
i.e. the profit obtained by `C=Rs. 969`
`:.` The profit obtained by `B=Rs. {2527-(627+969)}=Rs. 931`
Now if B had not invested Rs. 500 more, then the profit obtained by B would be
`Rs. (627xx1300)/1100=Rs. 741`
So, the more profit obtained by `B=Rs. (931-741)=Rs. 190`
Now capital of A with respect of 1 month `=Rs. 1100xx12` and with respect of 1 month, the excess capital of B for x months `=Rs. 500x`
`:.(500x)/(1100xx12)=190/627impliesx=(190xx11xx12)/(5xx627)=8`
Hence B had investd Rs. 500 more after 8 months.
