Area of sector `OAB = (pi r^(2) theta)/(360^(@)) = 3.14 xx 10^(2) xx (90^(@))/(360^(@)) = 78.5 cm^(2)`
Now, area of `Delta AOB = (1)/(2) xx (10)^(2) = 50 cm^(2)`
Area of the minor segment `= (78.5 - 50) cm^(2) = 28.5 cm^(2)`
Area of the major segment = Area of circle - Area of minor segment
`= (3.14 xx 10^(2) - 28.5) cm^(2) = (314 - 28.5) cm^(2) = 285.5 cm^(2)`
