(a) Tree system (b) Ring system.
Ring system of wiring is better than the tree system due to the following resons:
(a) Every appliance has its own fuse and as such in case of short-circuiting, only that particular appliance is disconnected from the circuit without affecting other appliances.
(b) Since the length of wire is considerably small as a single ring feeds the entire house, the cost of wire is reduced.
(d) It is easier to install and maintain.
