When potassium chromate solution is added to solution of Barium sulphate, yellow precipitate of barium chromate is formed. It is a double displacement reaction.
`underset("Potassium chromate")(K_(2)CrO_(4(aq)))+ underset("Barium Sulphate")(BaSO_(2(aq)))to underset("Potassium sulphate")(K_(2)SO _(4(aq)))+ underset("Barium chromate")(BaCO_(4(s)))darr`
