Discuss the continuity of the function.

\(f(x) = \frac{x^3 - 64}{\sqrt{x^2 + 9}-5},\) for x ≠ 4

f(x) = (x3 - 64)/((x2 + 9) - 5), for x ≠ 4

= 10, for x = 4; at x = 4

Best answer

f(x) = (x3 - 64)/((x2 + 9) - 5)

\(\therefore\) f is discontinuous at x = 4.
