a. Write the complete subshell electronic configuration. 

b. Find out the oxidation state of each element. 

c. The chemical formula of the compound formed by these elements is PQ. Is this statement correct? Justify your answer.

b. P = +2, Q = – 2 : 

c. Right, valency of both P and Q is ‘2’
