Best answer

Equation of the line which passes through the points (5, 1), and (1, –1)

\(\frac{y-1}{x-5}=\frac{-1-1}{1-5}=\frac{-2}{-4}=\frac{1}{2}\)

2(y - 1) = x - 5

\(\Rightarrow\) 2y - 2 = x - 5

\(\Rightarrow\) x - 2y = 3

Equation is x – 2y – 3 = 0

Let find (11, 4) be on the equation 11 – 2 x 4 – 3 = 11 – 8 – 3 = 0

Equation is x – 2y – 3 = 0
