These computers are capable of handling ’v 2 amounts of data for calculation and storage A supercomputer has the capacity equal to that of 40,000 microcomputers.
These computers are mainly used in areas like weather forecasting, nuclear science research, aerodynamic modeling, meteorology etc.

PARAM and ANURAG are supercomputers produced by India and exported to many European countries.
