Weight of marks in 12th is 40% and student gets 82% is 12th.

∴ Weightage of his 12th marks in college admission is 82/100 x 40 = 328/10 = 32.8

Weight of marks in entrance exam is 60% and student get 78% in the entrance exam.

∴ Weightage of his entrance exam marks in college admission is 78/100 x 60 = 468/10 = 46.8

Weightage marks of student in college admission is 32.8+46.8 = 79.6% > 77%

Since, student's weightage marks is 79.6% which is greater than 77%.

∴ Student can get admission into the college.
