An acid-base pair which differ by a proton is called conjugate acid base pair .
`NO_(2)^(-), HCN, ClO_(4)^(-) , HF, H_(2)O ` (acid) or `O^(2-) ` (base), `HCO_(3)^(-) and HS^(-)`.
