Best answer

i. p(x) = 2x + 5

p(1) = 2 × 1 + 5 = 2 + 5 = 7

p(10) = 2 × 10 + 5 = 20 + 5 = 25

ii. p(x) = 3x2 + 6x + 1

p(1) = 3 × 12 + 6 x 1 + 1

= 3 + 6 + 1 = 10

p(10) = 3 × 102 + 6 × 10 + 1 = 300 + 60 + 1 = 361

iii. p(x) = 4x3 + 2x2 + 3x + 7

p(1) = 4 × 13 + 2 × 12 + 3 × 1 + 7

= 4 + 2 + 3 + 7 = 16

p(10) = 4 × 103 + 2 × 102 + 3 × 10 + 7

= 4000 + 200 + 30 + 7 = 4237
