Best answer

i. (2x + 1) (3x + 4) (4x + 3) (3x + 4)

= (3x + 4) [(2x + 1 + 4x + 3)]

= (3x + 4) [6x + 4]

= (3x x (6x) + (3x) x (4)+ 4x(6x) + 4 x 4

= 18x2 + 12x + 24x + 16

= 18x2 + 36x + 16

ii. (3x + 4)2 – (2x – 1) (3x + 4)

= (3x + 4) [3x + 4 – (2x – 1)]

= (3x + 4)[3x + 4 – 2x + 1] = (3x + 4) (x + 5)

= 3x2 + 15x + 4x + 20

= 3x2 + 19x + 20
