In 1L saturated solution of `AgCI[K_(SP)(AgCI)= 1.6xx10^(-10)], 0.1` mole of CuCI `[K_(SP)(CuCI)=1.0xx10^(-6)]` is added. The resulrant concentration of `Ag^(+)` in the solution is `1.6xx10^(-x)`. The value of `"x"` is:

Correct Answer - 7
Let the solubility of AgCI si x `"mollitre"^(-1)`
`{:(AgCIhArr,Ag^(+)+,CI^(-)),(,x,x):}`
and that of CuCI is `"mollitre"^(-1)`
`{:(CuCIhArr,Cu^(+)+,CI^(-)),(,y,y):}`
`:. K_(SP)of AgCI=[Ag^(+)][CI^(-1)]`
`1.6xx10^(-10)=x(x+y)` …(i)
Similarly `K_(SP)of CuCI = [Cu^(+)][CI^(-)]`
`1.6xx10^(-6)=y(x+y) .....(ii)`
On solving (i) and (ii)
`[Ag^(+)]=1.6xx10^(-7)`
`:. x=7`
