What was the condition of the African-Americans in the United States of America prior to the 1950s?

Prior to 1950's, the Africa-Americans were treated unequally in the US and were denied equality before law.

  • Most African Americans came from Africans who have been brought to America directly from Africa and have been forced into slavery. By rule, black people were segregated from white between 1849 and 1950.
  • The Jim Crow statute was passed between 1876 and 1965 by the State and local governments in the United States. In all public facilities, they ordered "de jure separation" with the allegedly "separate yet equal" status of black Americans.
  • In fact, the facilities and accommodations for the Blacks were usually less than those of white Americans and a number of cultural, educational and social disadvantages were systematized

During, Prior to 1950's, The condition of Africa-Americans was very very poor the all Africa-Americans were treated extremely unequally in the USA and also all denied equality through law which led to some major problems and also it is not adoptable.
