∴ 5x2 – 4x – 7 = 0

Comparing the coefficients, we get

Taking square root of both sides, we get

∴ The roots of the given quadratic equation are \(\frac{2 + \sqrt{39}}{5}\) and \(\frac{2 - \sqrt{39}}{5}.\)
