Best answer

Given:

Mass (m) = 500 kg

Height (h) = 10 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s2

To Find:

Potential energy (P.E) = ?

Formula: P.E = mgh

Solution:

P.E = mgh = 500 x 9.8 x 10

= 500 x 98

= 49000J

The P.E of the stored water is 49000 J
