The full form of NCERT is National Council of Educational Research and Training.
Ministry of Education under the Government of India established the National Council of Educational Research and Training, which formally became operative from 1 September 1961. NCERT publish the book and the book is prescribed mainly by CBSE from class 1 to class 12th. Now, 19 boards from more than 14 states adopted this book.
The NCERT textbooks are printed in colour and are amongst the cheapest books in Indian bookstores. The motive of NCERT is to provide every child of the country an effective education. Either he or she is poor can buy it. These books are written by a board of professors from IIT's and many reputed institutes across the country. So its content is also very effective.
