(i) If operation is of daily nature, it is called spot market or current market. The exchange rate which prevails in the spot market is called Spot rate. (ii) A market for foreign exchange for future delivery is known as forward market. It deals with forward transactions (sale and purchase of foreign exchange) which are contracted today but implemented on a specified future date at a rate agreed upon today.
