Explain the steps that ensure cross pollination in an autogamous flower.

The chasmogamous type of autogamous flowers are open , can be subjected to cross pollination naturally by various agents such as wind , insects , birds, etc. But , in order to have ensured cross pollination , artificial hybridization technique is used .
(i) Emasculation : The anther is removed from the bud if the female parents bears bisexual flowers.
(ii) Bagging : The emasculated flower is covered by a bag so as not to allow contamination of the stigma by unwanted pollen grain.
