An unusual form of reproduction is seen in flowering plants in which one sperm nucleus uses with an egg to form a zygote . Simultaneous fusion of the second male gamete with the polar nuclei, resulting in a primary endosperm nucleus , which is often triplid , `3n^(1)` , a unique characteristic of all angisperms.
