Although `Delta_(eg)H` of luorine is less negative than that of chlorine, but fluorine is a stronger oxidising agent than chlorine. Why?

This is due to
(i) Low bond dissociation enthalpy of F-F bond.
(ii) High hydration enthalpy of `F^(-)`.
