Suppose the mass of the solution = 100g.
So, `" ""mass of "C_(6) H_(6) = 30g`
`" ""mass of" C Cl_(4) = 100-30= 70g`.
`n_(C_(6)H_(6)) = ("mass")/("molecular mass") = (30 g)/(78//mol)= 0.385 mol`
Similary , `n_(CCl_(4)) = (70g)/(154g//mol) = 0.455 mol`.
`x_(C_(6)H_(6))= (""^(n)C_(6)H_(6))/(""^(n)C_(6)H_(6)+n_(C Cl_(4))) = (0.385)/(0.385 + 0.455) = 0.458``""^(x)C Cl_(4) = 1-0.458 = 0.542`
