Cholera and tetanus are diseases caused by bacteria. Cholera is caused by a bacterium vibrio cholerae and tetanus is caused a by a bacterium clostridium tetani. Mumps, influeza, herpes and smallpox are viral diseases. Typhoid is a bacterial disease but it is not paired with a bacterial disease. Hence option (a) is correct.
