Let the present age of Aftab be x years and the age of daughter be y years.

7 years ago father's age = (x - 7) years

7 years ago daughter's age = (y - 7) years

According to the question,

After 3 years Aftab age = (x + 3) years

After 3 years daughter's age = (y + 3) years

According to the condition,

When the above coordinates are plotted on the graph paper. Two lines obtained intersect each other at (42,12)

Hence, fathers' age = 42 years

and daughters' age = 12 years
