In Ques. 34, if the discharged battery is charged by an external emf sourece, is the terminal voltage of the battery during charging greater of smaller than its emf 12 V?

During charging of the battery, the current flows from the positive to negative terminal inside the cells of battery. Then terminal potential difference is given by `V= epsilon +Ir` , Hence V muct be greater than 12V, during charging.
