Mention the difference between spermiogenesis and spermiation.

Spermiogenesis is the process of transformation of spermatids into spermatozoa or sperms while spermiation is the process by which the mature sperms detach from the sertoli cells. The released sperm are stored in epididymis and first portion of vasa deferentia.
