Dicotyledonous Embryo

It has  a central embryonal axis and two lateral cotyedones.

The portion of embryonal axis above the level of cotyledons is the picot, which terminates in the plumule (stem tip).

The cylindrical portion below the level of cotyledon is hypocotyl that terminates in the radicle (root tip).

The root tip is covered with a root cap.
