Do both the strands of DNA have the same biological information? Explain.

Both the strands of DNA are complimentary but however do not contain the same biological information. One strand of DNA contains the information and is called as the template strand while the other strand is called as the coding strand. The template strand codes for protein molecule while coding strand does not code for anything.
