why does the electrical conductivity of semiconductors increse with rise in temperature?

Best answer
the gap between conducation band and valence band is small in semi conductor therefore , electrons from the valence band is small in semiconductors therefore electrons from the valence band can jump to the conuction band on increasing temperature thus they becomes more conducting as the temperature increases.
