`M_(1) V_(1) + M_(2) V_(2) = M_(3) (V_(1) + V_(2))`
`0.5 xx 750 + 2 xx 250 = M_(3) (750 + 250)`
or `375 + 500 = 1000 m_(3)`
`M_(3) = 875/1000 = 0.875 M`
