Correct option is: A) 50 m

Given that angle of elevation is \(\angle\)A = \(45^\circ\)

Height of the staff is BC = 50 m.

In right \(\triangle\)ABC,

tan A = \(\frac {BC}{AB}\)

\(\frac {BC}{AB}\) = tan \(45^\circ\) = 1 (\(\because\)  \(\angle\)A = \(45^\circ\) )

= Ab = BC = 50 m

Hence, the distance between the man and the staff is AB = 50 m
